Our LMS worked fine with 200 users, but now at 800, it’s slow and crashing during peak times. As training admin, this is messing up our corporate rollouts big time.
What signs showed you it was time to switch, and how did ya find a scalable alternative? Any features like auto-sync or cloud options that helped?
Growing pains are real – share your stories to help others avoid ’em.
Signs were crashes during enrollments and no auto-scaling. Found a platform with flat pricing and cloud hosting that grows without extra fees. Handled our jump to 1k users no prob.
We ran stress tests in demo to confirm before signing.
@Ellie_T, what integrations did ya add for scaling?
Unlimited users in pricing was huge – no worries on adds.
Stress tests yes, ask vendors for proof of high user handling.
We stayed with on-prem too long – cloud was the fix for scaling.
On-prem couldn’t handle the load without hardware upgrades.
API helped us too, but make sure it’s easy to set up without devs.
We didn’t have IT resources for complex stuff.
Audits are smart. Our old one had user caps we didn’t know about til too late.
Hit the cap and had to pay overage – pushed us to upgrade.
@Brian_Y, did ya lose any data in the switch?
Data migration was our big fear when scaling.
We audited usage and saw we were maxing out. Switched to something with better API for integrations.
API let us automate more as users increased, kept things smooth.
Yeah, slow loads and limits on custom fields were our signs. Looked for cloud-based with unlimited users.
We evaluated a few, and the one with elastic scaling handled our growth without hiccups.
Scaling probs hit us too – reports took forever to load. Started when we hit 500 users. What symptoms ya seeing?
Ours included longer load times and failed batch enrolls during busy periods.
